Seconds Out Boxing events aims to help all participants enjoy the safest possible experience in learning to boxing whilst having fun and raising money for needed charities

So boxing rules

Safety rules and regulations of all our participants, must be strictly adhere to:

  • Participates must be aged 18 or over to compete
  • All boxers must not have any known medical conditions deemed unsafe to box, participate in physical exercise or disallowed any form of touch contact
  • All boxers must train only at the designated training venue to ensure fairly matched bouts
  • Each bout will be held over 3 rounds of 2 minutes with 1-minute intervals breaks
  • SOB will provide 16oz gloves and safety headguard to be worn at the final event/show
  • Groin guard is compulsory for males and optional for females
  • Scoring by referee on a 10-9 win per round scoring system. Referee decision is final.
  • If in their independent opinion and for the safety of either boxer, the referee has the right to stop the contest immediately if a stoppage or the boxer ability to safely continue is compromised
  • Three standing eight count, during the course of any match/bout will result in the referee stopping the contest. Safety is paramount
  • All participants will undergo a compulsory medical before their match. Organisers and medical team have the right to forfeit/stop any contestant on the night, due to any abnormality or condition deemed as unsafe to participate during this examination

What is expected from you

  • All participants must be 18 years and over to participate
  • Train at the designated boxing gym and attend at least twice a week or a minimum of 75% attendance
  • Participate on the prestigious SO Boxing show (date & venue will be included in the pack)
  • Raise a minimum of £50 on the just giving page for your chosen Charity (100% goes to charity)
  • Have no medical reasons to stop you doing exercise or be able to compete on the show
  • You will need basic training gear, gloves and wraps etc.. info will be sent with start-up pack
  • Sell a minimum number of ticket for the show, proceeds of this fund training and the running of the show

What happens next?

When you sign up you will be contacted by SO Boxing by text or email to confirm your place and information on how to set up your just giving page for your chosen Charity. All information on training, what kit you need, times of training venue etc.. will be included in this pack.
